Join us after work on Thursday, May 11th, for an intimate panel moderated by Tablet Magazine deputy editor Stephanie Butnick, and featuring a slate of experts from the greater New York fundraising and philanthropy community.
TZEDAKAH is the Hebrew word for charity, though its literal meaning is justice or righteousness. This panel is so aptly named, as Jewish-Americans have played a major role in laying the foundation for the landscape of modern American philanthropy. Millennials (people born between 1980 and 1999) are the largest living generation, and, in time, will be receiving a projected $30 trillion wealth transfer from their aging friends and family. During this exciting era, this generation of Jewish-American millennials is shaping the dynamic story of the nonprofit world, and we as philanthropic practitioners can help write its history.
