POP TALK: Healthcare Prospecting

  • October 03, 2017
  • 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
  • Foundation Center

In partnership with Foundation Center's New York headquarters, Apra of Greater New York (Apra GNY) presents Point on Prospecting (PoP) Talks, interactive roundtable conversations that feature experts from within the nonprofit community collaborating on an array of subjects.

On Tuesday, October 3, 2017, please join us for a PoP Talk focused on advancing the fundraising goals of healthcare nonprofits. The greater New York area is host to hundreds of hospitals and health-oriented organizations, and as these institutions continue to grow, especially through hospital mergers and other consolidations, fundraising is becoming even more essential to their success. Fundraisers and researchers alike must support the key initiatives of their organizations, especially in the areas of medical student scholarships, capital and building campaigns, and new science and research funding.

In this roundtable discussion, we aim to gain insight from fellow colleagues in healthcare fundraising about the unique set of opportunities and challenges in our sector. We will also examine how to engage your grateful patients, “friends of” your organization, and other forms of leadership into lasting philanthropic partners.

This event is open to fundraising and nonprofit professionals of all stripes. Whether you are a member of a large development research team, a lone gift officer, or a one-person development shop, we welcome your participation in this unique peer learning experience.

We are looking forward to seeing you at ProspectCon 2025 THIS FRIDAY April 4 at Baruch College (The William and Anita Newman Vertical Campus Conference Center--55 Lexington Avenue at East 24th Street)!

On-site registration opens on the 14th floor at 8:30AM with coffee and pastries.

We invite you to pick up lunch from one of many nearby places and join your peers and colleagues for informal roundtables and networking from 12:30 to 1:30PM.
